About us
FSG - Your partner for custom engineered system solutions in the field of industrial measuring and automatic control engineering.
Based in Berlin, FSG Fernsteuergeräte was founded in 1946. FSG is mainly involved in developing and manufacturing high-quality sensors and transmitters and is now one of the leading suppliers of measuring systems.
Over the years, FSG has enhanced its linear and angular transmitter systems with a large variety of user-friendly system solutions. Systems which determine measurement data and monitor and control processes are now available for virtually any industrial measurement and control application - a range of high performance and precision equipment for automation and safety engineering.
More than 500 staff members are employed in our factories at Berlin, Kablow, Zernsdorf and Heppenheim - roughly thirty percent of them work in development, sales and quality assurance.

Products & Services
FSG Fernsteuergeräte offers both proven and new products from its program for construction machinery and commercial vehicles. Examples include the newly developed, particularly durable joystick ST-MHT-GS85, the robust draw-wire encoder SL00-R, which provides the highest precision and reliability in demanding environments, as well as the wind sensor AN-60-HF with integrated light signals for optimum measurement results due to lack of wind shading and accurate positioning to minimize light pollution.
Joystick ST-MHT-GS85
Small, slim, and exceptionally durable: these are the key features of FSG's newly developed ST-MHT-GS85 joystick. The revolution lies in its inconspicuous housing, on which almost any grip can be mounted. While conventional joysticks have a lifespan of about 5 million cycles, the ST-MHT-GS85 achieves three times that. To accomplish this, FSG has, among other things, reduced the number of moving parts and thus the wear and tear. The result is a surprisingly lightweight, compact, and affordable joystick. Characteristic of FSG is the wide variety of possible variants, which can be complemented by a range of multifunctional grips.
Draw-Wire Encoder SL00-R
R for robust – the new cable pull sensor from FSG is above all resistant, as well as compact and highly flexible in its use. This allows it to be mounted on commercial vehicles, cranes, or machines in places where space is limited. Even in harsh environments, the SL00-R measures lengths with high precision and reliability; the housing made of V2A stainless steel (dimensions 80 x 80 mm) withstands high stresses. Various mounting options on all sides allow for maximum flexibility during installation. Additionally, a rotary encoder can be attached on both sides of the housing, with cable pull to the left or right. Accessories such as a deflection pulley increase the possible range of applications – the price-performance ratio is also convincing.
Wind Sensor AN-60-HF
The wind sensor with integrated light signals AN-60-HF offers optimum measurement results due to the lack of wind shading. It features reduced maintenance costs and installation time, and accurate positioning ensures reduced light pollution. A special feature of this sensor is the ability to correct the vertical position after vibrations by means of a pendulum.
